Due to the extension of the strict lockdown in Germany until at least Jan. 31 and the suspicion that a further extension is imminent, the organizer, Munich Fabric Start Exhibitions, has canceled the Fabric Days, scheduled for March 2-4. The company said it had been working flat out until the very end to organize a reprise of what had been proven in September 2020 with the sales-focused, concentrated business format: that efficient working was possible during the pandemic thanks to the highest hygiene and safety precautions. However, unlike the September edition, the Fabric Days in March do not follow summer months with lower but winter months with persistently high infection numbers. In the weeks to come, the organizers plan to focus on offering long-time exhibitors and visitors novel sources of information and inspiration, as well as examining options for the next show dates.
