Kanumesse, the Nuremberg-based meeting point of the European kayak industry, has changed its name to Paddle Expo to reflect the growing interest of international trade visitors to the show. The 10th edition of the show, which runs from Sept. 18-20, is organized by industry veteran Horst Fürsattel at the venue of Messe Nürnberg. Last year, Kanumesse attracted 1,407 trade visitors from 41 countries, or 7 percent more than in the previous year. The organizers say that the growth is partially due to the increasing interest in stand-up paddling.
