Last month's Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City received about 7 percent more visitors than a year ago, according to preliminary figures, including 4 percent more buyers. They represented nearly 11 percent more stores than in January 2012. Attendance from the outside the U.S. grew by 14 percent. The mood was very positive because of the long cold spell in the U.S. since last September, which depleted retailers' inventories.
