The National Outdoor Expo, originally scheduled to take place March 27-28 at the NEC in Birmingham, will be postponed by one year to March 19-20, 2022. Mike Seaman, CEO of Raccoon Events, the organizer of the U.K. show, said: “We left it as late as we could to make this difficult decision but unfortunately with the new variant and the third lockdown it just feels a bit too risky to try and run the show in March.”
Visitors who have already purchased a ticket will be contacted by See Tickets, who will arrange for a refund. Anyone who received a free ticket to the show will automatically be registered for the 2022 event and will also be given the opportunity to receive a free ticket to the National Running Show South and/or the National Snow Show. Exhibitors, partners or sponsors will be contacted by Racoon Events in due course to outline options and explore new opportunities to promote their companies and products. Seaman said his company has “something really cool planned for this March on the original dates when the show was due to run,” hinting at the possibility of a digital event. He didn’t give details yet; we’ll try to keep you posted.
