In a statement last Friday, Emerald Expositions announced that the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, scheduled for June 23 - 25 in Denver, Colorado, is still on as planned despite the current Covid-19 situation. The statement also read: ”Together with Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) and Snowsports Industries America (SIA) we are focused on making the best decisions for your health, your business and for our industry.“
While we tend to believe that the show will eventually have to be postponed, Mountain Hardwear has already announced that they will not be participating. According to SGB Media, Mountain Hardwear president Joe Vernachio said his company has also canceled the upcoming Grassroots Outdoor Alliance show in Knoxville, Tennessee, scheduled for June 12 - 15.
