Paddleexpo, the global paddle-sports exclusive trade fair, will take place in a smaller venue this year. It is the first time in the 11-year history of the fair that its exhibition space has not been expanded. The trade show, to be held in Nuremburg, Germany on Oct. 2-4, will see its exhibition space reduced by more than a third, from 14,000 square meters to 9,000 square meters. However, the show will return, following demands from both exhibitors and attendees, to Hall 7A of the Messezentrum, a brighter and more intimate space that is said to be more suitable for the new focus of the show. Organizers said that they have decided to concentrate exclusively on hardware for the show's international audience, avoiding other trendy products such as sun block, flip-flops and other related niche items, which visitors can easily find elsewhere. The companies represented in this year's edition of the show will be 251, as compared to 271 in 2012. Exhibitors now come from France, Italy, Iceland, Korea, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, China, Taiwan, the Czech Republic, the U.S. and Germany, the hosting country. Internationality will remain a key feature of the trade show. Last year, 54 percent of participants came from 47 different countries.
