The Petzl Technical Institute (PTI) in Salt Lake City, Utah will host the third edition of the Petzl RopeTrip, the international competition for climbers from around the world, on April 1-4. Teams composed of three members each will showcase their skills to secure a place on the podium. In addition, prominent rope-access technicians and companies will have an opportunity for networking and knowledge sharing at the first-ever Petzl RopeTrip symposium, during two days of workshops and presentations. Petzl inaugurated the 15,000-square-foot PTI at its North American headquarters in 2014 as a means to promote the proper application of technical skills. The PTI features a climbing wall with multi-pitch capability and exposed structure climbing for tower rescue, alongside classrooms capable of accommodating up to 200 people, among other features.
