TrekSta, the Korean brand, has won the national “Korea Design Award,” which has honored companies such as LG, Kia, Hyundai, Samsung and others since 1999. TrekSta was the first sports company to receive the prize on Dec. 7 from South Korean President Lee Myung Bak. TrekSta had given him a pair of shoes one year ago as a present, but he did not show them in public, where he always dresses up. His predecessor, Roh Moo Hyun, did wear TrekSta shoes and jackets all the time, also on television.
