TrekSta, the South Korean brand of outdoor footwear, is continuing its launch in Europe under the supervision of Charly Messmer, based in Munich. After its distribution arrangement in Spain, the brand has started selling to key accounts in Sweden and Norway, as part of a distribution deal attributed to Sporthaus Moxter for all of Scandinavia. This company has appointed a new sales and marketing director, Mats Bengtsson, former chief executive in Sweden for Viking Footwear, which is undergoing more management changes, to be reported in our next issue. Bengtsson brought along Göran Södermark, former sales manager at Viking in Sweden, who was placed in charge of a special unit at Sporthaus Moxter to deal with TrekSta – separately from the sales force handling Meindl and Nokian outdoor rubber boots in Sweden.
