With a trail-running event in Munich’s Olympic Stadium today, Salomon is promoting the sport as an Olympic discipline. Known as track & field racing, the originally English sport has a tradition of more than a century. Great athletes such as the legendary Haile Gebrselassie supported this idea last year by sending a letter to the International Olympic Committee in order to promote trail-running there.
