Woolrich, the self-proclaimed “Original Outdoor Clothing Company” since 1997, is suing Eddie Bauer for infringing on that slogan. Last October Eddie Bauer began using “Original Outdoor Outfitter,” which Woolrich says causes confusion. The Patriot News in Pennsylvania also reports that when conducting some online searches, a search for Woolrich results in an ad for Eddie Bauer, containing the new slogan, appearing. In the suit filed in a U.S. Middle District Court, Woolrich seeks unspecified damages and an injunction against Eddie Bauer to stop using the slogan.
