Isbjörn, the Swedish specialist in sustainable and functional outdoor children’s clothing, and a member of the Scandinavian Outdoor Group (SOG), has reduced online returns and administrative work through an AI chatbot that automatically answers frequent customer questions about product selection and sizing. According to the company’s chief executive, Maria Frykman, the project was initiated in collaboration with a Swedish web agency, Salgado Communication, to reduce the carbon footprint in outbound logistics through lower return rates. Frykman was surprised how easy it actually was to halve both shipments and costs while reducing the time spent on order management.
