Entre-Prises, the French manufacturer of climbing walls, has been picked up by the International Federation of Sports Climbing (IFSC) as the sole supplier of the first Olympic climbing wall. The IFSC says that Entre-Prises will work closely with route-setters and the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee to providing an amazing experience for athletes for the first sports climbing event in the Olympic Games. The wall will feature a unique design that will integrate the lead, speed and boulder disciplines in an “aesthetic and futuristic” way. Founded in 1985, Entre-Prises has already created more than 6,700 installations around the world. The company contributed last year about one-third of the turnover of €187 million at Abéo, which bought the company in 2002.
