Austrian ski brand Kästle has signed a equipment contract with the Czech Biathlon Union (CBU) for the next two seasons. To begin young athletes have already signed with Kästle. In the past years Kästle has already supported talented young Czech biathlon athletes through its Nordic Competence Center in Nové Město na Moravě.
In May this year, Kästle had signed an equipment contract with the German Ski Association (DSV) for cross-country skiing, biathlon, Nordic combination and jumping. The brand, which has focused solely on alpine skis in recent years, started its Nordic comeback in 2019 with cross-country skis for race and performance categories. Kästle signed an equipment contract with Austria Skipool the same year.
The Nordic segment has a long tradition with the ski brand from Hohenems in Austria. The first cross-country skis were created in 1976. Thanks to innovative technologies, the list of successful cross-country athletes on Kästle skis grew steadily. Soon, athletes such as multiple world champion Annette Bøe, Iwan Garanin and Jörg Thoma were under contract.
