Lukas Irmler, who is sponsored by Adidas Outdoor, has broken the world record for the highest altitude in slacklining. The German athlete, who made the skywalk with his Peruvian friends Mariano Breccia and Alex Estrada, similarly sponsored by Adidas, installed his line at an altitude of 5,222 meters, just under the summit of the 5,460-meter-high Yanaphaqcha in the Peruvian Andes. The line was 21 meters long and very much exposed to fierce weather conditions.
