Mammut is now offering digital interactive climbs to some of the most famous mountain routes of the world. Thanks to #project360, viewers can follow alpinists and experience a 360° view of these mountains with a simple smartphone or tablet of the latest generation, or an up-to-date browser. Starting at the beginning of 2014, professional mountaineers and Mammut employees have carried specially developed backpacks with six cameras, for a complete all-round view, and have taken views of more than 30 mountains all over the world. Of these, five tours are now online: Eiger North Wall and Matterhorn Hörnli Ridge in Switzerland, El Capitan in the U.S., Mount Elbrus in Russia, and the frozen waterfall Rübezahl, again in Switzerland. By the end of the year, 360° images and films will be available for about 30 tours. Images can be viewed on http://www.mammut.ch/project360 and on a mobile app for Android and iOS.
