Under the motto “More Jacket. More Adventure,” The North Face has launched a joint marketing campaign with Intersport International. It is the first initiative of this multinational type that the buying group has ever rolled out in partnership with one of its suppliers from the outdoor industry. TNF partnered with Intersport for similar actions during the past two winter seasons, but they were limited to Germany. This winter, the campaign is to be run in 14 European countries. It will comprise billboard advertising in the first place, but also direct mailings and internet marketing. Participating Intersport retailers will have the advantage of being mentioned locally in newspaper ads and spots in cinemas. For the joint campaign, The North Face developed a collection of special make-ups, including a 3-in-1 Exploration Triclimate Jacket that will be exclusively sold in Intersport shops.
