The Swiss distribution company ACE (Alpine & Climbing Equipment AG), founded in 1998, has moved into a new showroom in House 9 at Thurgauerstrasse 109 in Zurich and also welcomes two new brands to its portfolio: the Swedish brand Silva, known primarily for compasses and headlamps, and the Maltese touring ski brand OGSO Mountain Essentials. ACE also has showrooms in the towns of Mels, Ostermundigen and Aigle and handles the brands La Sportiva, Blue Ice, Camp, Devold, Gregory and Pieps, among others. ACE founder Richi Bolt made his big breakthrough in 2000 by starting a partnership with the Swedish brand Haglöfs. ACE now has 17 employees and supplies around 300 stores all across Switzerland.
