Italian bike manufacturer Bianchi has established a presence in France on Feb. 1 with the newly founded Bianchi-France division, which will focus on direct sales. Christophe Soenen was appointed director of the new division. After a successful career as managing director of importer Royal Vélo France (RVF), Soenen brings considerable management and commercial expertise to Bianchi, European Cycleurope Group’s premium brand. In addition, the French native knows his home market inside and out.
“The decision to create a new French division comes in the wake of the significant development Bianchi has experienced in recent years and in light of its current and future expansion plans,” said Fabrizio Scalzotto, CEO of Bianchi. Cycleurope, the European holding company that also owns Crescent, Kildemoes, Monark Peugeot, Gitane and Puch branded bicycles, previously managed Bianchi’s distribution in France.
