Garmont International, which recently moved its head office from Volpago del Montello to Vedelago in the same area of Italy, is setting up a dedicated distribution network in Europe and the Middle East for its tactical and wildlife lines of boots, which already represent about 20 percent of the volume of pairs sold directly by its head office in Italy. They are mostly sold in the U.S. and a few other countries outside Europe. For this purpose, the company will participate in the IWA show in Nuremberg in March for the first time. The sales network is being set up by Manuele Barbon, a former sales manager of Eider and Killy who was appointed EMEA sales manager for the segment a year ago, reporting to Marco Sancandi, operations director of Garmont. He has already signed up Military Gear Center (MGC) as a distributor of the line in Austria and Germany.
