POC, the Swedish specialist for protective gear for snow sports and cycling, will begin a mandatory selective distribution system in January 2021, which will provide a uniform and high-quality range of products for its entire European retail network. This will ensure, for example, that authorized retailers have the appropriate technical expertise and skills, or that a high-quality consumer experience is assured before, during and after a sale. The “POC European Partner Program” will also provide the means to prevent any unauthorized sales of POC products in retail and e-commerce. Kolja Plegt, managing director for Europe at POC, said: “Maintaining and improving POC’s leading reputation requires consistency and a high level of quality […]. Our partners and resellers have welcomed the partner program, as it ensures that all resellers across Europe must meet the same criteria and quality.”
POC also announced that it has entered into a long-term distribution partnership with the Chinese winter sports specialist BC Sports to support and accelerate POC’s growth in China. With the partnership, which formally starts on July 1, BC Sports will be responsible for the distribution of POC’s snow products in China. The company was founded in 2002, has two headquarters in Nanjing and Beijing and already carries nine major European brands: Northland, Lowa, Head, Leki, Halti, Kjus, Level, Alpina and Vauhti.
