Raoul Ferenschild, a former Benelux country manager for Bergans, has started his own agency for the same region, called Rafertrading, with a showroom in Leusden. One of his first clients will be Alchemy Equipment, the New Zealand-based company, which was previously working the market through another agent, Yves Sarto, who has become country manager for Oxbow. Rafertrading will also take care of sales in the Benelux countries of Sherpa Adventure Gear and Tentree, the two brands for which Bradshaw Taylor has the European distribution rights. Rafertrading will also represent a Merino brand, Palgero, and a brand of sleeping bags, Gruezi.
