The Scandinavian Outdoor Award (SOA) has revealed its winners for the Fall/Winter 25/26 season, with exceptional products earning accolades for their design, sustainability, and innovation. Organized by the Scandinavian Outdoor Group (SOG), the awards aim to celebrate groundbreaking outdoor products through rigorous evaluation by an international jury of outdoor journalists and gear experts.
The Overall Winner is the Lundhags Abisku Adventure Down Parka, a parka designed for extreme Arctic winters. The jury praised its remarkable insulation, lightweight feel and practical features, such as innovative pocket construction and gold-treated down, which enhances drying time. Jury members highlighted its perfect fit and excellent warmth, making it a top choice for cold-weather adventurers.
Taking home the Sustainability Award is Knowledge Cotton Apparel’s Vent Canvas 200 Classic Jacket, made from 100 percent regenerative organic cotton. This water-resistant, windproof jacket is designed to minimize plastic use and offers versatility across urban and outdoor settings. The jury lauded its eco-friendly materials and holistic approach to sustainability.
In the Innovation category, Finnish brand NordShield impressed with BioLayr, a biocide-free antimicrobial textile technology. This groundbreaking solution prevents bacteria buildup, keeping fabrics odor-free for extended wear, and has applications in both outdoor and healthcare industries.
The True Scandinavian award went to Aclima’s WarmWool Motion Roll Neck, a merino wool top with exceptional stretch and moisture management. Designed for active and post-activity use, it reflects Scandinavian heritage and outdoor expertise.
The Lifestyle category was won by Mini A Ture Copenhagen’s Matarman Sherpa Anorak, a stylish and functional winter jacket for kids. With weather-resistant lining, a cozy fleece exterior, and a side zip for easy wear, it also supports second-hand sales to extend product use.
